Two angels adoring the dead Christ signed, inscribed and dated 'G. Schmidt inv. et fecit MDCCCXXXV' black and white chalk, brown wash on brown paper 7 x 9 1/8 in. (175 x 234 mm.); and a Biblical scene by Ludwig Friedrich Doell, dated 1835, Abraham receiving the Angels by Franz Julius Kiessling, The Angel appearing to the three Maries, by an unindentified Nazarene monogramist, dated 1835, and four classical scenes by a 19th Century German hand (8).
