Description

You can search the internet and you will never find such a fine piece of art by Mr. Seekatz. The vibrant and contrasting colors in his oil on canvas painting are astounding. This is a very large piece of art that has made its way to America from Germany in the 1970s. At 50 years old, this painting is in fine condition. Its residence, gilt period frame, is also a real beauty. We can pass this painting on to a proud owner with overwhelming confidence knowing that she will be loved. This painting is a signed original oil painting on canvas by Günter Seekatz (born 1928) in Langenberg, Germany who had early connections with members of the Dusseldorf style. Mr. Seekatz specialized in summer and snow landscapes and marines. A Certificate of Origin is included with the painting stating that “This painting is fully executed and signed in my hand.” Original signature by G. Seekatz. This impressive near five (5)-foot wide painting features a European mountain and lake landscape with sail boats along with colorful blues, violets and pinks. Signed “G. Seekatz” to lower right. The painting is housed in a gilt period beautiful ornate frame measures 30 ½” X 55” W and includes artist information up to 1969. Excellent condition.
