Condition Note: Canvas is not lined (a couple of small patches on the reverse--one behind the upper right and one behind the lower left). SURFACE: in generally good condition; scattered craquelure throughout (some of it is just coming up to the surface); canvas is a bit loose on the stretcher (ripples slightly along the edges UNDER ULTRA VIOLET: inpaint in front of the above mentioned patch at upper right shows clearly (for a small loss/hole--inpainting area is about 4 by 2 in.); there is very faint repair in front of repair at lower left (in browns on beach)--can barely see under UV
