Book, Grand tour travel journal, Leather bound book with gilt detail and remnants of beading on covers, Travel Journal or Notebook, 1855-1860, including several sketches believed to be by Francesca (Esther Frances) Alexander (American/Italian, 1837-1917), one signed and dated ''Fanny Alexander Florence april 1856'' lower right, as well as other prints and a photograph, notes written in English, French, German, Italian, and possibly other langauges, places noted include Florence, Naples, Vevey, Tivoli, Nice, and Edinburgh, overall: 3.75''h x 7.25''w. Note: The book includes several notes addressed to a woman named Mary, and there is a note by a Mary Alice Martin but there is no indication as to her being the owner of this book.
