NOTE

The eclectic juxtaposition of objects both found and made in The Collection of Mr E II exemplifies Gingles's idiosyncratic style. His trademark box constructions, intricately hand crafted, present a microcosm of the artist's own vision of the world around him. His titles are suggestive and yet elusive, encouraging the viewer to create their own narratives from the objects within each work.

Having studied at the Belfast College of Art and at Hornsey College of Art, Gingles has had numerous solo shows at galleries such as The Arts Council Gallery, Belfast; The David Hendriks Gallery, Dublin; The Fenderesky Gallery, Beflast and The Pepper Canister Gallery, Dublin. His work is also held in the collections of institutions such as The Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin and The Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
