The actual painting is less red/yellow in tone than the catalogue illustration would suggest. With the naked eye The canvas has been relined (new, glue). The painted surface seems to be in a good condition, and is covered with a dense, fine craquelure pattern throughout with two horizontal stronger craquelure visible. No major damages seem to be apparent. Some minor thinness can be observed in the darker corners of the picture. A few discoloured retouchings can be seen in the blue coat of the figure. Under UV Two horizontal craquelures have been lightly touched up. Minor retouchings can be seen in and around the hands, and some in the lower right corner. Offered with a plain black wooden frame. Le tableau est en réalité moins jaune et moins rouge que sur l’illustration au catalogue. A l’œil nu : Le tableau a fait l’objet d’un rentoilage (récent, à la colle). La couche picturale semble en bon état, et est recouverte d’un important réseau de fines craquelures, dont deux horizontales plus importantes. Il ne semble pas y avoir d’accident important. Quelques légères usures sont visibles dans les parties sombres du tableau. On observe quelques repeints désaccordés dans le vêtement bleu de la Vierge. A la lampe UV Deux craquelures horizontales ont nettement fait l’objet d’une restaurations. Quelques légères restaurations sont visibles dans et autour des mains, ainsi que dans l’angle inférieur droit. Dans un cadre en bois peint en noir.
