Notes

A very finished study for the falling Icarus, this drawing was sold in David Daniels' sale as Giovanni Baglione. The attribution was proposed by Philip Pouncey although he also saw affinities with the work of Baglione's contemporary Gaspare Celio, who was also active in Rome.
