Description

*Gherardo Cibo (1512-1597) a rocky landscape with figures, an arch, a castle and other buildings. Numbered: 87. Pen and brown ink and colored wash. 230 by 322mm. Provenance: Comte Carl Cobenzl (L. 2858b, the mount bears his cartouche with the attribution to Joos the Momper, and number 4783); The Hermitage, St. Petersburg (L.2061), sale, Leipzig, C.G. The bright coloring is also entirely characteristic.
