The Holy Family with the Apple (Burchard, Holl. 2) etching, 1593, first state (of three), a fine early impression of this exceptionally rare print, printed with a veil of surface tone, the vertical polishing scratches and guide-lines printing strongly, watermark Small Jug with letter R, with wide margins, a soft crease across the upper right and across the lower right corners of the subject (visible only verso ), scattered staining in the left margin, one foxmark just touching the left edge of the subject, paler scattered foxing in the upper and right margins, a worm-hole in the lower margin, otherwise in very good, unrestored condition P. 200 x 230mm., S. 254 x 310mm.
