NOTE

Joan Blaeu's Atlas Major, of which De Jager has represented eight of the twelve volumes, was first published in 1662 and consisted of almost 600 double page maps. It was the most costly printed book of the seventeenth century, the Golden Age of cartography.

A series of works by De Jager were sold Amsterdam, C.F. Roos, 26 July 1917, lot 2.
