George Washington Bronze Plaque. Rectangular depicting General Washington in profile mounted on his horse, on a plinth inscribed "He went to war a colonial Virginian. He returned a Citizen of the United States'" above 13 stars, impressed Laura Gardin Fraser Sculptor (Am., 1889-1966), c. 1931, 46 1/4" x 28 3/4". Laura Gardin Fraser was the wife of Sculptor James Earle Fraser, worked in U.S. Capitol building and designed numerous medals, coins and busts.
