George Taffy Davidson, Scottish 1896-1956 exh 1923-35- ''Ancient Tower at Harbour/Long Ago''; oil on canvas, bears inscribed label attached to the reverse, bears inscription Taffy Davidson, 8 Thistle St Aberdeen on the stretcher, in a carved gilt wood Florentine auricular frame, 45.5x48cm (may be subject to Droit de Suite) Note: George Taffy Davidson studied at Grays School of Art, Aberdeen shortly before the outbreak of the First World War. He had pictures exhibited at Aberdeen Art Gallery and at the Royal Scottish Academy, and was awarded the Brough Travelling Scholarship.
