Condition Report

Canvas appears to have been relined and is stable.
Under UV light, there is a visible layer of heavy varnish and some areas of inpaint. Within the heavy shadows of the dog on the left side, there is a line of inpaint under his neck and continuing along his belly and extending into his back legs. There is also an area of inpainting (measuring approximately 1 inch square) near the lower edge just left of center and below the tail of the dog on the right side. There is additional inpaint within the trunk of the tree along its left-most edge, measuring approximately 1 inch x 1 cm.
There are losses to the frame's gesso.
