Condition Note: Canvas is lined. SURFACE: in fairly good condiiton; relining has compressed surface, but there is still good pigment retention, generally, particularly in more thickly painted areas (darks and clouds)--a bit thin in sky area (under clouds)--where canvas weave just about shows through; fine, pressed craquelure throughout sky UNDER ULTRA VIOLET: scattered inpainting, mostly along edges; a small repaired tear (1 1/2 in. long--horizontal) at upper right)
