Provenance

Adelaide Seymour, Countess Spencer (1825-1877), 2nd wife of Frederick, 4th Earl Spencer (1798-1857), and by descent to her step-daughter Lady Sarah Spencer (1838-1919) probably at 28 St. James's Place, and by descent to Albert Edward John, 7th Earl Spencer, by whom removed to Althorp, Northamptonshire in 1923.
