Painted in 1902 PROVENANCE Anon. sale, Audap, Godeau & Solanet, Paris, 12 April 1991, lot 26 (as Amazone assise au bord d'un etang ). Anon. sale, Sothebys, London, 19 June 1991, lot 222 (as A Lady Resting under a Tree ). NOTES Gaston LaTouche inscribed his paintings 'St. C.' or, as in the present work, 'S' C.' which was short for Saint-Cloud, his home outside Paris.
