title picture signed with monogram and dated '90'(lower right) and signed and inscribed 'PENCILLINGS FROM THE PASTURES BY G.H. Jalland.'; the other eight signed with monogram and dated '90' (lower left) and inscribed respectively 'Mild Remonstrance Exasperated sportsman having narrowly escaped being jumped on over the last three or four fences by the gentleman with the eyeglass "Ride your own line Sir confound you! Do you want to steal the sandwich out of my pocket?" ', 'Not before time. Mr. Skinflint has just come to the conclusion that he really wont have the old bridle patched up again.', 'On the way to the meet Master Tommy (to coachman on the old brougham horse) "Just pop over the next gate Johnson and give me a lead.
