on a printed card mount, signed G.A. Flach outside the lower left margin of the image, and giving numerous details about the Eagle Line, their fleet and ports of call. The accompanying image is a large format photograph of the S.S. Fort Hamilton of the Furness Bermuda Line.

The S.S. Schiller, built for the Eagle Line, ran between New York and Hamburg for the German Transatlantic Steam Navigation Company. She wrecked with large loss of life in 1875.
