Gummed M.F.A. (Boston) loan label, inscribed in pencil "1805.11/ Lent by Mrs. Flagg" on the stretcher. With a second unidentified partial loan or exhibition label on the stretcher naming the artist, sitter, owner, and return location as "Marlborough..."
