Elizabeth Glaister, facing left in off-the-shoulder pink silk dress with pleated bodice, fur stole draped over her left shoulder, pendant locket on a gold chain about her neck, her brown hair dressed in ringlets and a knot; draped blue curtain and sky and cloud background signed, dated and inscribed in pencil on the backing paper 'painted by F Cruickshank 34 Gt Marlborough St. London July 1833' oval, 4 1/16 in. (104 mm.) high, rectangular gilt-wood and plaster frame.
