Other Notes: The Ella Crowell, built in 1864, was out of Thomaston, ME. She was wrecked on Veazie's Rocks in Quincy Bay during the "Portland Gale" Storm of 1898. This storm wrecked or stranded more than 150 ships including the passenger ferry "Portland" on route from Boston to Portland.
