A Lady, wearing pale blue dress piped with ribbon and trimmed with flounces of lace at the neck and sleeves, sash with gold buckle at her waist, diamond-shaped brooch at her breast, fine gold chain around her neck and brown shawl wrapped around her arms, her fair hair dressed in ringlets, seated in an outdoor setting.
Watercolour on paper, signed in gold on the obverse and dated Fois Rochard 1840, inscribed on the mount jour à Gauche, gilded wood frame with composition decoration.
