A Lady, wearing flowered green dress with full sleeves and white lace bertha, her brown hair dressed with red flowers and green leaves, a striped white veil covering the back of her head, a basket of fruit in her right hand, her raised left hand holding a bunch of grapes.
Watercolour on paper, rectangular gilded wood frame with scrolling composition decoration, the reverse bearing torn paper label inscribed I can **/ the picture **/ at the New **/ Society in Pall **/ which I called Plaisir D **/ is the production of y **/ very truly & obliged/ F. Rochard, further inscribed D.D./ P.T. Nov. 3υrd 1849.
