A drawing by Brizio of The Holy Family in a landscape, in which the Madonna has the same distinctive profile as Christ in the present drawing, and which is similar to the present drawing in the handling of folliage and of the shifting direction of the hatching, is in the Staatsgalerie, Stuttgart (E. Hermann-Atorino, Francesco Brizio, Worms, 1989, no. Z29, fig. 65).
