Notes

The present bronze closely resembles a group representing Summer kept in St. Petersburg's Hermitage (inv. no. 915), however it exhibits slight variations and the figures hold different attributes. Bertos' intricate iconographical scheme is as interesting to behold as his complete mastery of the bronze. It is in these bronzes, with their elegant feather-light figures balanced in sweeping compositions, in which Bertos' art is epitomised. RELATED LITERATURE
