ANACLETUS AND SIXTUS Pen and brown ink and red wash; bears old attribution in pen and brown ink: Gius.pe d'Arpino; and bears inscription in pen and brown ink in the cartouches, with the subjects of the two scenes: 'S. Anacleto i. ordinó che la consacrationi / de Vescovi fossero fatte per tre Vescovi.' and 'S. Sisto ordinó che da niuno fussero toccate / le cose sacre et in particolar da donne: l'istesso / confirmó Sant' Urbano Papa.' 276 by 320 mm

A drawing in the Biblioteca Reale, Turin, executed in the same media, represents another section of the same project, a scene from the life of S. Alessandro.1 Although formerly attributed to Baglione, it has been included by S. Prosperi Valenti Rodinò in her article cited above. 1. A.
