Un strip d’une beauté pleine de poésie. Mickey, Donald et Goofy apparaissent ensemble dans la première et dans la dernière case, ce qui est extrêmement rare. Le dessin de Floyd Gottfredson, dessinateur majeur de la série, est tout en épure; il va à l’essentiel tout en restituant totalement la vie. Le placement des personnages dans les cases est d’ailleurs particulièrement dynamique. Derrière la rondeur de l’encrage, on appréciera le rehaut d’aquarelle bleue. L’histoire, elle, provient du court-métrage Lonesome Ghosts, de 1937.
