(Dedication leaf with repaired tear, A8 with tear crossing text, small burn hole on H8 touching a few letters, without blank A1.) Contemporary panelled and sprinkled calf, red sprinkled edges (joints splitting slightly at head). Scholar of Winchester, and scholar and fellow of New College, Thomas Flatman has been long esteemed as a miniature painter, but he was also a poet. This is the most complete edition of the Poems and Songs, which were first collected in 1674. Only the third and fourth editions contain the frontispiece.
