Light spots to half-title and first text leaf, slight lean, couple of dings to front cover and light shelfwear; jacket with upper panel chipped touching "The" in title and with loss to 2 letters in author's name, small other chips and closed tears, few rubs, slight adhesion marks near eye, toned, front flap fold starting, still a very good jacket.

First edition, first printing with all textual points and with overstamped "J" to rear panel of jacket. Bruccoli A11.1.a.
