Description

SHIP OF FOOLS - a colored etching by Fernando Casas. Signed, titled, dated 1990, and numbered from an edition of 60 by the artist. Image size 19 1/4 x 17 1/4 with a sheet size of 24 x 22 1/4. In mint condition having never been framed. On medium wove white BFK Rives Paper with very nice deckle edges. Casas is listed in Who's Who In American Art. Born in Bolivia and now a US citizen. He has a PhD in Philosophy from Rice University in Houston. Casas is noted for his artistic and intellectual development of Flat-Sphere Perspective and Polar Perspective. Casas work has been exhibited internationally at Harriet Griffin Gallery, New York; Salon Municipal de Arts Pllasticas, La Paz Bolivia; Pabellion de las Aries, Seville, Sapin-Expo 92; The Asahi Shimbun Museum, Osaka, Japah; Galeria Garces Velazquez, Bogata, Columbia; and Toni Jones Gallery, Houston, Texas; to name a few among many.
