*Fearnley (Alan, 20th century). Pair of pheasants flying from cover, oil on canvas, signed and dated 1986, 70 x 106cm (27.5 x 41.75ins), gilt frame. Alan Fearnley was born in Yorkshire, and studied at Batley College of Art. He is well known as a superb painter of motor racing scenes, but he is equally at home with wildlife and sporting landscapes, where his ability to create atmosphere is put to good use. (1)
