"Caressing Snow, New York City." Gold chloride blue-toned silver print, 16x12 inches (40.5x30.5 cm.), with Fassbender's signature and title on mount recto and a lengthy typewritten caption label on mount verso. 1947

Condition Report

This is a fine print in very good condition. It has cool blue tones and excellent details. There are a few minor surface scratches and light impressions on the print, none of which break the emulsion, and all of which can only be seen in raking light. There is some minor chipping along the edges of the print. The photograph is mounted and the corners of the mount are bumped and there is some minor staining on the front and back of the mount, not affecting the image. Overall this is a very nice print and a wonderful image.
