John Clive Court lived in Warwickshire and, latterly, Guernsey. He formed a fine collection over nearly half a century, purchasing both from leading dealers and local and international auctioneers. The collection, which is being sold at Sotheby's throughout the second half of 2004, embraces a wide variety of categories, with particular focus on Old Master Paintings, Chinese works of art and English furniture.
