inscribed Mrs. Eunice Pinney, l.r. in what appears to be the original carved giltwood and gesso frame.

Nina Fletcher Little's typed paper jelly label attached to the cardboard backing records the following information: Pinney Family record, Simsbury, Connecticut drawn by Eunice Pinney, well-known folk artist (1770-1849). Design derived from the engraved family records of Richard Brunton.

This is a good example of Eunice Pinney's work combined with important family associations.
