Eugenie Frederica Shonnard (American, 1886-1978) Two animal terracotta sculptures by the artist; the first a gopher on a squared self-base fashioned in Keenstone, signed on the back of the base, overall apprx. 9-3/8H x 5-1/4 x 5-3/8. The second squirrel on a squared wooden base, signed on the sides, rubbed in pigment finish, apprx. 11-3/4H x 6-1/2 x 7-1/2. Both acquired directly from the artist ca. mid-20th century.
