In the Salon of 1844 Maindron exhibited the marble statue of Velléda he had completed for the Ministry of the Interior for the Jardin de Luxembourg, where it remains. A plaster model presently in the Musée D'Angers was shown at the 1839 Salon, and another made for the Tuileries is now in the Louvre.
