(134 x 202 mm.) (a pair) (2) NOTES Very close to three watercolors of gobbi, of the same size and similarly squared, in a private collection in Milan (M. Olivari, Faustino Bocchi e l'arte di figurar pigmei, Rome, 1990, nos. B64-6). The three drawings are studies for the picture of The Banquet, part of a series of eight on the theme of the preparation and the wedding of a gobbo bride (M. Olivari, op. cit., nos. 23-30). The two present drawings could be unused subjects connected to that group.
