Endre Szasz has long respected the Persian poet, Omar Khayyam, who lived from c. 1040 to 1123, and whose epoch "Rubaiyat" speaks as saliently to Man today as it has in times past. Szasz has often rendered his interpretations of this philosopher and poet, and has illustrated his works.
