Rear Admiral Thomas Alexander Cochrane, 10th Earl of Dundonald, Marquès do Maranhão GCB RN (1775-1860), was a radical politician and naval officer. He was one of the most daring and successful captains of the Napoleonic Wars, nicknamed "le loup des mers" by the French.
