Biomorphic Figure, 1965, gouache on handmade paper, signed and dated lower right, sheet size 51.5 x 64cm (20.25 x 25.25ins) John Edwards (1938-2009) was an important figure in British abstraction from the 1970s onwards. He was head of painting and sculpture at St. Martin's School of Art, London, in the 1980s, he exhibited regularly in London (Rowan Gallery), the USA and India. (1)
