EDWARD P. BUYCK (American, 1888-) "THE CUT".Oil on canvas self portrait of the artist in clown attire holding a number of brushes and painters pallet. A stick that was held by a string has broken and torn the painting the artist was working on and a small tear has fallen from his eye. Signed lower right. Also titled and signed on reverse and dated "1948". Housed in a period gilt frame. SIZE: 25" x 30". CONDITION: Very good. 9-91094
