STRUCTURE The paper-sheet has been laid onto canvas which undulates slightly but is giving a stable support. There are a few minor surface abrasions (to the book and to the male figure's clothes) but these are only minor. FRAME The picture is contained in an ornate Pre-Raphaelite-style moulded and gilt frame and under glass.
