Edward Bouverie Hoyton (British, 1900-1988) Papal Procession, St. Peter's, Rome, 1926 signed in pencil on the reverse Watercolour with pen and ink (there is another elaborate watercolour by Hoyton of a Scene in the Roman Campagna on the reverse of the sheet). 51 x 32cm Edward Bouverie Hoyton was awarded the Prix de Rome (sometimes known as the Rome Scholarship) in printmaking in 1926. He spent the years 1926-27 working at the British School in Rome as a result.
