Notes

The S.S. Hamburg was launched in 1926 by Blohm and Voss Shipbuilders of Hamburg for the Hamburg-America Line of Germany. After several years as a successful passenger ship, she became a naval accommodation ship for the German Navy in 1940. On 7 March 1945 during the evacuation of the forces from the Eastern Front, she struck a mine and sunk. She was then salvaged by the Soviets in 1950. She was intended to become a passenger ship, the Yuri Dolgoruki, but instead used as a whaling ship and finally scrapped in 1977.
