Lot 94: EARLY KAMAL BOULLATA JERUSALEM PAINTING

BOULLATA, Kamal, (Pakistan, 1942-): "Lantern and Winding Steps, an Alleyway in the Old City of Jerusalem", Exterior Stairwell Scene, Watercolor, signed, dated 1963, label with title verso, 'Jashan Brothers' Jerusalem frame label, approximately 24" x 18" sight size, framed, 29" x 23". When the artist was contacted he said that he created this picture when he was still studying over forty years ago. His work has evolved into a much more abstract style.
