* Duffield (Frank, 1901-1982). Tank Battle on the Eastern Front, Second World War, gouache and watercolour, on paper, signed lower left, 23 x 52cm (9 x 20.5ins), framed and glazed. Frank Duffield worked in Bristol as a commercial artist for Mardon Sall and Hall, and was a prominent member of the Bristol Savages. His portrait of Brigadier Manley Angell James of the Gloucester Regiment who won a VC in the first world war is now in the Imperial War Museum.. (1)
