ISAK DINESEN (1885-1962) Danish author whose real name was Karen Blixen, author of Seven Gothic Tales , Winter's Tales , and Out of Africa . Very fine content T.L.S. "Isak Dinesen ", 1p. 4to., Rungstedlund, May 29, 1961. In part: "...I am glad of what you write about Winter's Tales. I like those tales and 'Last Tales' best of my own short stories. It is difficult to state which short story writer I prefer. I think that our Hans [Christian] Andersen and the Grimms rank very high here. A story like 'Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves' is hard to beat, so are some of Poe's tales and of Robert Louis Stevenson's...I always use a typewriter... ". Fine. $500-700
