DESMOND SNEE (20th/21st CENTURY) Portrait heads of ''Dawn Run'' and ''Arkle'' Oil on board, 23 x 29cm each Signed and inscribed (2) A set of Mrs Charmian D Hill's racing colours inset - These two pictures, painted to Tony Sweeney's commission, are dedicated to the best chasers, male and female, bred in Ireland in the 20th century. In each instance their careers ended prematurely, Arkle's through injury incurred in the King George VI Chase at the 1966 Christmas meeting at Kempton Park; and that of Dawn Run through death on a Summer's day in France.
