Deborah Donnelly (b.1978) MARLAY PARK, RATHFARNHAM, COUNTY DUBLIN oil on canvas signed lower left 61 by 91cm., 24 by 36in. A young Dublin artist, Deborah Donnelly graduated from the NCAD in 1998. Since then she has lived both in Ireland and in the USA, studying at Harvard and exhibiting in the Whistler House Museum in Boston. Donnelly's palette is dominated by the artist's concern with colour. This preoccupation imbues her reading of a landscape with a clean contemporary quality which recalls the style of early twentieth century French painting.
