Overall the condition of the marble is good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are a few small losses to the tips of the hair at the girl's back. There are small losses to the edge of the base in front of the girl's foot and to the right of the girl's foot. There is veining to the marble consistent with the material, in particular at the girl's legs, abdomen, and from her forearm running through her hand and drapery on the proper right side. A section of the base on the proper right side by the lily-pad is carved separately. There are a few small naturally occurring inclusions to the marble, notably to the drapery resting against her proper left thigh. There are a few small chips and abrasions to the drapery. There is a small loss to the back right corner of the rocaille base. The wood base is in good condition with minor dirt and wear. There are some losses to the mouldings and a few further chips and abrasions. There is dryness and discolouration to the wood at the top and the smaller sides, and there is minor stable splitting.
